Tut, Tut, Tally ho, good stuff that. President George H. W. Bush finally decided that Mitt Romney was a better candidate than Newt Gingrich and endorsed the poor guy. Coming off a twenty-plus point loss to Rick Santorum in the last primary, Romney looked tired while accepting the late-in-coming support of the 88 year-old New Englander.

Romney: “Was this the chair you sat in as President?”
Bush: “I’ve sat in all of them.”

Romney’s play for the elderly vote should pay dividends.  If he can somehow manage to get the reclusive George W. Bush endorsement, Romney will win the coveted Bush Grand Slam. Latest word is that W. is waiting to see if Rick Perry has a late surge.
