Maria Bartiromo: Will Companies Hire if President Obama is Re-elected?
on July 17th, 2012 at 1:38 pmCNBC, the political birther of the CNBC-T Party, hasn’t exactly tried to hide its antipathy for President Obama and Democrats. Despite mountains of proof that Democrats are better for the economy and the stock market than Republicans, for ideological reasons, CNBC professes a libertarian philosophy and pushes a far right economic agenda.
This has never been on display better than this exchange between Maria Bartiromo and fellow Closing Bell anchor on July 16th, where the two rant about the reasons for companies not hiring. They note that only 23% of businesses plan on hiring in the next 6 months, or until the November election.
They try and explain why companies “are sitting on tons of cash”. They excitedly go on about the fiscal cliff Republicans have created, uncertainty about the weather, stomach cramps and assorted other distractions, but, in the end, Bartiromo gives the real reason companies are refusing to hire when she asks the “big question”,
Will companies hire if President is e-elected?
Knowing the right winger corporate leaders who make these decisions, she shakes her head skeptically, and that’s really sad.
